Goodwill Collects and Distributes Clothing

Many of San Antonio's charitable agencies have reached their capacity for clothing donations. If you have clothing to donate, consider taking it to Goodwill. - Joe B.

Hurricane Katrina Disaster Support - Goodwill Industries of San Antonio has opened its hearts and stores to the victims of  Hurricane Katrina. The 3822 Pleasanton Rd store location is the primary store providing support as clothing is being delivered to the evacuees around the city. In addition, victims outside of the city relief areas who are living in local churches or with extended family members may visit a Goodwill store and register at the Job Help Center in order to receive clothing and shoes. Click to find the Goodwill store nearest you.

Goodwill’s Plan for Long-Term Support of the Evacuees.   Goodwill’s mission is to help change lives through the power of work.  Goodwill is committed to partnering with relief agencies to deliver employment services and find employment for our newest San Antonians.  Goodwill will fund services through the generous monetary and clothing donations from the community we serve.  Donate funds at any retail locations today, purchase a gift card for a victim, or drop off a gently used item to help the victims who need a “hand up, not a hand out” in the spirit of Goodwill’s founder, the Reverend Edgar J. Helms.
