Volunteering is EASY, CONVENIENT & SAFE

Looking to Volunteer and just want to GO?
Here are two easy ways

1- SA Food Bank- They need volunteers at the Food Bank to sort donations from 9am-9pm every day this week except for Saturday. Just show up at 4311 Director Dr. near WW White and I-10 or call to schedule at 337-3663. Get a good 3 hours in after work!

2- Salvation Army Donation Depot at Kelly USA- Go to the Kelly USA Building 1536 at 809 Davy Crockett Rd (which is really on Sam Houston Rd. - follow the signs once you get on Kelly from the 36th St. Exit off of Hwy 90). They need your help sorting donations in the warehouse from 8am to 8pm. Other volunteers are needed including picking up donations, call Kathy Thompkins at 352-2000 x231. Easy cheesey!

Don't Mind scheduling your shift?

1- Call The United Way at 352-7099. They will get you hooked up!

2- SA Housing Housing Authority - 477-6484 Needs help sorting furniture and items donated for survivors as they are starting to move out of temporary facilities and into a new home.

3- The Red Cross needs volunteers with the following skills:

  • Phone Bank Help & Data Entry
  • Medical Trades
  • Commercial Drivers License & Equipment Operators (Forklift, etc.)
  • Shelter Management
  • Certified Teachers & Child Care
  • Advanced Computer skills for networks and form letters, etc.
If you haven't registered with the Red Cross and you don't have your badge, please visit the Red Cross Volunteer Booth at Joe Freeman Coliseum to get registered. Go to the West Gate of Joe Freeman Coliseum past the security gate and next to the horse barn (!) every day from 8am-7pm. Just go, don't call. They are waiting for you. You can sign up for shifts at various San Antonio shelters and facilities. If you have your badge but have forgotten the number to schedule your shifts - call Volunteer Scheduling at 210-212-0538. I registered- it's quick, pleasant & easy!
